Vim deletes go to a useful register again. Argh. Turns out my muscle memory does rely on deletes going to a register. Writing a note to myself that really the only way to do puts (pastes) that overwrite is to do so over visual selections, not deletes (d,D) or changes (c,C). https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/4d07a5c5d3cad6c57c08705a6596514dcdceaea1 david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Tue, 10 Jun 2025 22:18:07 -0700 4d07a5c5d3cad6c57c08705a6596514dcdceaea1 vim delete won't affect clipboard; claude-sonnet-4 https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/5ddadd027a3a3ab2a50c91c09b6fc4f5ae383bef dblume@roku.com (dblume) Tue, 10 Jun 2025 14:37:42 -0700 5ddadd027a3a3ab2a50c91c09b6fc4f5ae383bef <leader>v to move window to right, show prev on left Usually when I want to move the current window to the right, I want to see another buffer on the left. Go ahead and just do that Now, <leader>v does: 1. <C-w>v make a vertical split 2. :bp show previous buffer here on left 3. <C-w>l make the right window active https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/e5c165cddb0492867dbfe53cbe74235f6b1119f7 david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Wed, 04 Jun 2025 21:59:34 -0700 e5c165cddb0492867dbfe53cbe74235f6b1119f7 Make ghostty match my catppuccin mocha overrides Even though I now dynamically set terminal colors via the script bin/set_colorscheme. Using the terminal's settings now is a fallback. https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/16ad8dc715065a7c824bc4c0754fe12bb4ae7021 david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Thu, 22 May 2025 09:10:06 -0700 16ad8dc715065a7c824bc4c0754fe12bb4ae7021 dark teal float windows; lsp clangd only if it exists https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/f5fe4773bdaec5e2607b955abfda1683bb029caf dblume@roku.com (dblume) Tue, 20 May 2025 20:08:59 -0700 f5fe4773bdaec5e2607b955abfda1683bb029caf Add clangd LSP support This is a feature in progress. Hopefully it fails gracefully when clangd is not available. LSP uses floating windows, so had to add styles for them. I'm not done with settings or they keymaps. https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/decdb842840a0471cb2ecfc16500045f37799581 dblume@roku.com (dblume) Tue, 20 May 2025 13:24:26 -0700 decdb842840a0471cb2ecfc16500045f37799581 Very slightly fade blue and darken background. Thought I could live with it, but such a light blue background affects how other gray terminal apps look, so make the background a little less blue, and darken it a touch. https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/16b1d2c4d8b28f08f428aae1e3213ac0117ab0be david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Tue, 13 May 2025 07:16:15 -0700 16b1d2c4d8b28f08f428aae1e3213ac0117ab0be Lower blue saturation on "white" Moving from the "white" on the main screen to some vim themes made actual grays look ugly spoiled grey. 1. Use Paint.net to reduce saturation of blue 2. Make Foreground be same as white. This allows some terminals to fake "bold" by using bright-color of foregorund. 3. Reduce saturation of bright white too. https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/50e5cb0149dd6741022aa0d56badd4a731b8aefa david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Mon, 12 May 2025 23:44:42 -0700 50e5cb0149dd6741022aa0d56badd4a731b8aefa Merge remote-tracking branch 'refs/remotes/origin/main' https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/39fcc80f3d3f92b824c849ab007c822d55ff8efc david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Sat, 10 May 2025 23:37:39 -0700 39fcc80f3d3f92b824c849ab007c822d55ff8efc Make cyan a little more cyan, distinguish from green Bump up the blue, reduce red by more than the bump. Makes cyan a tad darker, more cyan. Noticed doing an "ls -l" https://git.dlma.com/dotfiles.git/commit/4e3cf6330425b6047f671b83a9443d15848060c2 david.blume@gmail.com (dblume) Sat, 10 May 2025 23:35:33 -0700 4e3cf6330425b6047f671b83a9443d15848060c2
